Welcome to the 2025 Virtual Forum
Technology is impacting nearly every aspect of social work, from how practitioners deliver services and maintain client relationships to how they advocate for change and protect sensitive information. As digital tools become more integrated into practice, social workers face critical questions about ethics, privacy, and equitable access.
The 2025 NASW Virtual Forum: Compassionate Innovation: Social Work and Technology (November 5–6, 2025) will offer a thoughtful exploration of these issues, helping social workers navigate opportunities and risks while staying grounded in the profession’s values of compassion, dignity, and social justice.
Across two days of keynotes, plenaries, and breakout sessions, participants will examine emerging technologies, discuss the policies that safeguard responsible use, and share real-world strategies for balancing innovation with human-centered practice. This forum is designed to prepare you for the rapidly evolving landscape of social work and technology, providing actionable insights and the opportunity to earn up to 16 CEs. Don’t miss this chance to engage with peers, learn from leading voices, and help shape the future of ethical, compassionate innovation in social work.
