Plenary: Making a Difference in Suicide Prevention

In 2018, 48,344 Americans died by suicide.  The rates of completed suicide has increased every year for the past 13 years.  Suicide remains the 10th leading cause of death across all ages and the second leading cause of death for those in the 15-24-year-old age range.  Structural changes are needed to implement suicide prevention and intervention strategies, including a reduction in access to lethal means and an increase in access to affordable, culturally appropriate mental health services.  Join this session on suicide prevention strategies from prominent members in the field.
